MTSS-K Workshop at the University of Liege – Updates on Deliverables and Assessment Instruments
From 7 to 8 November, the MTSS-K partners met for a workshop at the University of Liege to discuss updates on project deliverables and milestones, alongside advancements in the development of educational assessment instruments. The workshop also highlighted the latest findings from meta-analyses on effective MTSS interventions in the areas of literacy, numeracy, socio-emotional and behavioural skills, which will help to validate measurement tools for the upcoming study on the effectiveness of the Multi-Tier-System of Support in kindergarten in the beginning of 2025.
Furthermore, social, emotional and behavioural (SEB) interventions at the different levels of support were reviewed, with Tier 1 focusing on helping all children, and Tier 2 providing extra support for those who need it. Lastly, the consortium discussed training programs to equip teachers with the skills to use these strategies and tools effectively.
