MTSS-K Consortium Participates in the 36th ADMEE Conference in Belval, Luxembourg
From 8 to 10 January, the MTSS-K consortium participated in the annual colloquium of the Association for the Development of Evaluation Methodologies in Education in Europe (ADMEE-Europe), organised by the University of Luxembourg. Under the theme “Paradoxes of Innovation in Evaluation in the 21st Century”, participants discussed innovations in assessment in higher education and the impact of digital technologies on assessment practices.
The MTSS-K partners participated in a short symposium, discussing screening and progress monitoring assessments of the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). A specific focus was put on the assessment of early literacy, numeracy, socio-emotional and behavioural skills of pre-school children, as well as the efficiency of MTSS interventions. Finally, the consortium outlined their plan to conduct two upcoming randomised controlled trials across five European Union countries to evaluate whether the MTSS approach can enhance fairness and effectiveness in kindergarten education.
